Your Image Matters

You as a lady or gentleman know how much your image matters. Whether you carry on a very social lifestyle or just a family one, when you leave home you’re subject to the views and opinions of those around you.  People can tell a lot by the way you carry about yourself, from the simplest things like your colours of choice, your hair, your nails — even your shoes and purse tell a story.

If you think you don’t have a choice in how you look or that your situation limits the way people perceive you, here are some ideas that might help.

What do you usually do when you get home from work?

Apart from preparing dinner, and getting the kids off to bed, would you have thirty minutes to spare for yourself? You can adapt this thirty-minute per day routine and pamper yourself every night before bed.

Foot soaks are so soothing and relaxing: it’s a beach away from the beach. Just add some bath salts and your favorite essential oils to the lukewarm water. Dip your feet in and sip on some wine while going through a magazine, it may not be the spa but it’ll be enough to recharge you for the next day. Not to mention that people judge your cleanliness by how your nails are kept.

Taking care of your hair can make you happy. Not to mention you feel like a brand new person when you walk out the door. Awesome hair is a definite confidence booster.

If you don’t have the time to go to the salon, invest in one of those powerful handheld showers and attach to your bathroom faucet. You can do it yourself and wash away all the stresses of the day. Not to mention when you’re done you can put your Holdilocks into your damp hair and go to bed. In the morning you’ll wake up with fresh-smelling and styled hair courtesy of Holdilocks.

Another thing that people stare at is your skin. It’s the largest organ of your body and nothing says self-confidence more than clean, clear, dewy soft skin. Hydration is essential and you can achieve that one or two ways, drinking loads of water or body soaks. Exfoliating helps as well and you can treat yourself to this at home. Most of the ingredients in soaps dry our skin out and we’re so addicted to shower up to three times a day. We’re doing more harm than good.

You can use natural things like milk, honey, aloe vera to take an exotic shower with. Your skin will thank you for all the vitamins and minerals you’ve given back to it.
